As far as I know, that is.
And they don't mean 103,755 miles, just 3,755.

The cleanest, least hippy Type II you could buy.

It's the S model, which means it has the engine from a 944.

I thought it was the 924 turbo that had the same engine that as the 944 turbo.

According to the wikimachines the Turbo has the 2.0 Audi engine, Now With Boost!(TM), But, Wikipedia isn't exactly the most reliable source. Where's Stef when you need her?!

A 27 year old car with only 3755 miles on it scares me.
Cars aren't designed to sit still...

Me, too, but it'd probably be worth it due to how nice the non mechanical bits are.
Edit: That is, presuming they want, like 5 grand for it. That sounds like a good price.

Eh?
Pay a crazy premium for a car with really nice non-mechanical bits just to drop a boatload to fix all the mechanical crap that's wrong because it's been sitting?
I'd rather find one that's been used and maintained and spend the leftover money fixing all the non-mechanical bits.
I don't understand collecting things that are meant to be used in mint condition. Keeping an action figure in the box? Fine, I can see that. It's a display piece, and it displays in a box just as well as out of the box. A car? It's designed and built to be driven, not to be looked at. It's honestly an insult to the car's creators to just lock it up and never use it.
I mean seriously, when was the last time you heard of someone buying a chainsaw and never cutting wood with it?

Yeah, but at the same time, it is a prime candidate for swapping.
If ya know what I mean.

I guess...I still question if it's really worth it, I mean surely you could find a clean example with 50,000 miles or so and pay much less...

True, but in my area sub 100k anything for less than $5000 is near impossible. People think that if it runs, it is obviously made of solid gold. I hate the used car market around here.

Meet The Only Porsche 924 Somebody Actually Bothered To Take Care Of

These were great cars — They were essentially the 944, albeit without the box flares and with the older (pre-1985.5) interior. Sadly, they were just as expensive to keep up, which is why these are so rare. I recall them starting at about $25k back then — It was truly the last "affordable" Porsche ever made.

True, but if it was properly stored, it shouldn't be too much trouble to replace the rubber items that dried out.

There's actually a thread about this car on 924board. The people there found a few flaws in it's presentation. Namely it has been repainted in the back, and a few other bits.

DROOLING!
I want a 924S so bad. It's the right color. Want want want want want.
The 924S has the 944 drivetrain stuffed into the lighter 944 body. It's what happened when there were too many 924 shells around after Porschvolksaudi ceased production of the 924 drivetrain.

that's not too far from me at all. Looks like the Stereo is already tuned to 93.3. good.
